Researcher Katherine Dinamarca presented her paper, “Educational Practices of Assistant Education Professionals in Chile: Qualitative Findings,” at the 5th Caribbean Congress of Educational Research, held in Punta Cana and organized by the Salomé Ureña Higher Institute for Teacher Training (ISFODOSU).
In her presentation, she shared preliminary results from her Fondecyt Initiation Project, focused on the everyday practices of assistant education professionals in Chilean school settings. Her work offers insight into the roles these professionals play within the educational system, highlighting their experiences, challenges, and learning processes in supporting students.
The congress brought together researchers from the Caribbean and Latin America to reflect on current educational challenges, with an emphasis on sustainability, inclusion, and innovation. This space for knowledge exchange addressed topics such as the integration of emerging technologies in teaching, the future of teacher education, and the role of education in sustainable development.
