POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER OPPORTUNITIES

SOCIETY AND HEALTH RESEARCH CENTER AT UNIVERSIDAD MAYOR

The Society and Health Research Center at Universidad Mayor (http://ciss.umayor.cl/en/) is seeking to sponsor postdoctoral researchers funded through CONICYT/FONDECYT.

The overarching mission of the Society and Health Research Center is to advance well-being at the individual, social, and institutional levels in a context of global demographic, epidemiological, technological, and environmental change. Our research strengths are grouped into three clusters: (1) social and life-course determinants of health and aging, (2) social relationships and cohesion, (3) and institutions and regulation from a cross-national and comparative perspective. To study these issues, we use mixed methods and embrace the new opportunities arising with an era of big “cells to society” data.

We seek candidates with the ability to conduct research using advanced statistics, with particular strengths in quantitative analysis of longitudinal and/or multilevel data, who are interested in developing a collaborative publication record with the faculty at the Society and Health Research Center, and that are fluent in English.
