From November 17 to 19, the Huechuraba Campus became the setting for a significant Meeting, bringing together academics, postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduate and graduate students. This event focused on the world's most pressing global challenges, aiming to foster dialogue and collaborations across disciplines.
The CISS played a prominent role with presentations from:
- Diego Palacios (November 17): "Association of Peer Substance Use Perception with Friendship Networks and Popularity."
- Natalia Miranda (November 18): "Examining social movements via tweets: methods and challenges."
- Sarahí Rueda-Salazar (November 19): "Cognitive health and protective factors."
- Nicolás Montalva (November 19): "The Origin of the Family, Communal Property and the Community: Coevolution of Inequalities and Inheritance Norms in Agropastoralist Communities."
🎉 We also celebrate the achievements of our researchers:
- Teresita Rocha Jiménez, awarded the 2023 Women Researchers Award from Universidad Mayor.
- Katherine Dinamarca Aravena, Honorable Mention in the 2024 Women Researchers Award from Universidad Mayor.
This meeting was a unique opportunity to explore new research avenues, establish collaboration networks, and contribute to addressing global challenges through an interdisciplinary approach.
