"Health and Migration" at the XI Congress of the Latin American Population Association (ALAP), held at the Universidad Externado in Bogotá, Colombia. This congress, themed “New Demographic Scenarios: Contributions of Population Studies in Latin America and the Caribbean,” served as a crucial platform to discuss the impact of migration on the health of Latin American populations.
During the discussion table, emerging topics in migration and health studies were addressed, along with the need to innovate in the data and methods used, and how to strengthen the links between migration studies and mortality/health. This space was essential in promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and advancing public policies to improve the quality of life for migrants.
