Did you know that digital media, despite its potential to foster political participation, is also a platform for phenomena such as toxicity and incivility? These behaviors, associated with hate speech and harassment, are reshaping public debate in the digital environment.

This was the focus of the latest CISS seminar, where Sebastián Rivera explored how toxicity and incivility operate in the digital sphere, using an innovative dataset of 31 million Twitter messages exchanged between members of Chile's Constitutional Convention and other users.
